Alphabe-Thursday..."K" as in Kid's Recipe

It's time again for Alphabe-Thursday sponsored by Ms. Jenny over at Jenny Matlock..."off on my tangent. Today we are studying the letter "K" as in KID's recipe.

Yes, today I'm going to share with you my KID'S recipe. Reid brought this recipe home from school when he was in the 2nd grade (he's 36 now). The page is pretty yellowed and spotted with who knows what, but I've saved it all these years. It's for a drink similar to Orange Julius.

There are no other directions given, but as I recall you put it all in a blender. You can click on the recipe to enlarge it.

Now head over to Ms. Jenny's blog for a list of other participants and for information on how you can join in the fun.

(And I hope this post looks right when it's published. On my last post there were all sorts of spaces between the pictures that I never put in there and never showed up on the preview. I guess I shouldn't complain since I've seen a couple of blogs lately where people have had the pictures go in sideways.)

  1. I love that you saved this. So cute! I love a second graders spelling. Have a great day!

  2. What a darling momento! I have save a lot of my daughters early stuff as well ... it is so fun to look back upon!

  3. Betty, the fourth letter of the alphabet is not working on my keyboar, but please sen me a photo I can use next week. My email is on my post.

  4. Ahhhhh, what a precious keepsake!!!!

  5. You kept it and knew where it was all those years - have or did you tell Reid? So sweet and cute.

So sweet that you've saved this for all these years. :-)

  7. How fun that you still have this!

  8. A nice keepsake. And a good idea, an Orange Julius sounds good :-).

  9. What a treasure and it's fabulous that you still have it!

  10. I love that you kept this!

  11. It's so much fun to look back sometimes...

I love that you kept this sweet reminder of your guy!!!

  12. Wow that is really a great keepsake. See you.

  13. That recipe is definitely a keeper. And I'm impressed that you've kept it all these years.

  14. A keepsake truly to be treasured!

    Great K post - Happy A-Thursday!

  15. Oh wow, what a great moment to hang on to....I just love seeing how little ones write, and when I've seen a few things of my own...priceless!

  16. How fun!
What a great idea to post this! I may have a few of those around.

Blogger has been a bit of a bear lately. Why can the place where we compose look EXACTLY like what the actual post will look like? This annoys me. I am constantly previewing while I write. Even more annoying when the "preview" view isn't accurate!
    Oh well...

  17. This is adorable...

Some of the most priceles treasures or worn and yellowed from age... Love it!!!

Great post for the letter "K"...

    Thanks for linking.

  18. When are we going to get a K is for Keith blog? I think people really want to hear more about him. He is so interesting.
