Reid went for another radiation simulation yesterday morning. This time they had him hold his breath while they did scans to see if that would help protect his lungs a little more during radiation. He also had another cardiogram, blood work, and a consultation with the cardiologist. His heart is good.
I guess they've had a chance to review all the results because he received a call this afternoon and his radiation is to begin next Tuesday.
I wish he didn't have to have it, but there's really no choice.

ReplyDeleteI've been reading about this storm that Reid is in. I love your good attitude of no punch in the stomach, just a bad speed bump in life.
Father I ask you to remember your child Reid. You know his battle and the battle belongs to you Lord. I pray for healing for Reid to be healthy and whole. May you lift up those that love him to surround him and escort him through his journey as you hold him the whole way through. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
I just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you and Reid and the rest of your family. I'm so sorry this news came on the tail end of the great joy of him being finished with chemo. From your previous posts, I expected that he may have radiation; but only in reading your last post, did I realize the seriousness and size of the mass. I will be praying for you and Reid. And you will be missed as your time and strength, energy and love are more especially and appropriately focused on being with and taking care of him during his treatments.
