Another SECOND TIME AROUND TUESDAY

Today I'm participating in Second Time Around Tuesday hosted by Diane at A Picture Is Worth a 1000 Words. A list of this week's participants is on her blog.

I'm sharing my coffee table which I bought up near Round Top, Texas during the antique fair that's held twice a year. I found this table at one of the booths along the side of the road. It's made from an old door. What I like about this table is that it's already beat up and I don't have to worry about scratches or dings.
Here's the table cleared off so you can see what I mean.

No one has to worry about putting their feet up on the table and being comfortable, putting a drink down, etc. And it 's a great size too.

  3. That is very cute! What a cool new way to reuse a door. Is that an ottoman underneath?

  4. I love your table ... I've been wanting to enlarge a 18" x 50" pine sofa table and finding a door to attach to the table top might be my answer! I would never have thought of it if I hadn't looked at your post today....thanks!

  5. Adrianna...No, that's not an ottoman. I used to weave baskets and it's a large, round basket woven with dyed blue sea grass and round reed. The cats' toys are in there.

  6. Cool table! and no, not me with the arm full of dolls. It was a birthday card my MIL got several years ago.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy Tuesday evening blessings ;-)

  7. Hello Betty, I am still catching up with the pink Sat. pinkies. I scrolled down to see the posts I have missed. Love the vintage cards and your note. Adorable for PS.

It is interesting to read your 10 favorites. You do have lots of cats, Your story about the feral cat is amazing. Nine years and she still doesn't entirely trust you. She is a pretty cat and I hope she came back to you. My guess is she did.

My prayers go out to your son Betty. I hope the remission stays that way.

I do love your great coffee table find. It is a great idea and it looks great. I love a place to prop my feet.

    Take care,
    Hugs, Jeanne
