...in our backyard!
Don't be fooled...nothing grows in our backyard except monkey grass, ferns, weeds, and impatiens. At least the monkey grass, ferns and weeds are green and the impatiens give the yard some color.
Naughty Gnome.
Gnome Sweet Gnome Home.
And I'm worried about our Live Oak. I'm not sure, but some of the leaves look brown and I'm starting to wonder if it's dying. Could it be that Hurricane Ike has finally caught up with it?
What do you think?

The tree looks okay from the picture. I hope it is because it is so beautiful. Aren't impatients wonderful? You almost can't kill them. I have left them in near drought conditions and was able to bring them back with a little H2O.

Have you tried hosta? They are also very hard to kill, if you have a black thumb! Try them, or ask around because now is he time to split them and you might get a few for free!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely green and shady space to me... a place where you can relax instead of feeling like you have to work to maintain it all the time! I like the little chairs tuckedinto the ferns with the flowers on them... adds some fun visual interest. I do love impatiens... Once planted they really are a carefree and cheerful little flower!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful, resilient yard. I hope the tree pulls through.
ReplyDeleteLove the gnome on the swing. I didn't know you had a gnome collection.
