ALPHABE-THURSDAY - The Letter "L"
Another week and another assignment is due for Alphabe-Thursday sponsored by Jenny at Jenny Matlock..."off on my tangent." This week we are working on the letter "L" and we're all hoping to get a good grade.
A few "L" words immediately came to mind.
L is for LIKE. Joey LIKES to have Amber come for a visit.
L is for LOVE. Actually, Joey LOVES Amber.
Would you like a LICK? Joey shares his ice cream cone with Amber.
UH-OH! Joey hates to LOSE.
Is the LUGGAGE LIGHT enough? Amber doesn't want an extra charge from the airline. And now there's an airline that wants to charge for a carry-on bag too? Soon we'll all be carring LITTLE LUGGAGE the size of Amber's. (Got in another "L" word there.)
For a list of ALPHABE-THURSDAY participants head on over to Jenny's blog. Maybe you'd like to be the new kid in class. (No one will pick on you...promise.)Information on how you can participate in ALPHABE-THURSDAY is also on Jenny's blog.
We're off to put on our thinking caps and come up with some "M" words for next week!
Thank you Mrs. Matlock.
QUESTION: I was reading a blog called YaYa Stuff. I was a relatively new reader and the lady and her husband were in the process of adopting a little boy. I was reading the blog on a regular basis and suddenly the blog was gone. POOF...just like that it was no more. I believe I originally saw a link to her blog from a blog on ALPHABE-THURSDAY. Does anyone know what happened? Does she have a new blog? I was really looking forward to sharing their joy when the little boy arrived. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little world and leave a comment. I appreciate hearing from you.
I do not receive all comments by E-mail and I'm not exactly sure why. I do try and remember to check the actual blog so I won't miss any of your comments.
I do not belong to Google+ and regret that I am unable to leave comments on Google+ blogs.
WORD VERIFICATION: I have NOT set up word verification for comments. However, every so often it appears on my blog even though I have chosen NO in the settings. Please let me know if you encounter word verification when leaving a comment so I can try and fix it. Thanks.

I love your cute little people post you put together. Very original.
ReplyDeleteBetty I always LOVE your stories, you are very creative with your doll house, Joey is a real Looker!~ And no I do not know of that blog, hopefully someone will. Maybe she is just taking a break for now and will resume, some do that and remove their blog temporarily.
ReplyDeletePoor Joey LOL. I heard about that airline charging for carry-ons. I think they are going to lose a lot of business.
ReplyDeleteLovely Little post for such cute little people. Sorry I don't know the blog either, but sometimes folks have to be very careful about public information so maybe it has something with that.
ReplyDeleteOnce again your story is wonderful! It is so cute and what a hoot about the luggage....that is so true about how much all that talks!
ReplyDeleteLuggage charges are so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteAdorable little people. My daughter would LOVE to have a house like yours.
ReplyDelete"Tell me a story, whatever you say, it's true!" So a friend said to us once when we were telling about something historical (turned into hysterical) in our lives.
ReplyDeleteAnd so it is for you with Joey & Amber. and...
....I hate 'POOF'. She's not a very nice companion when visiting blogs, posting to website, answering emails or creating something for Alphabe-Thursday! Can't help you with this POOF either. so sorry.
darling vignettes ... i just adore all of the sock monkey items in the room ...too stinkin' cute!
ReplyDeleteLove you little people! You make them come alive. So cute.
ReplyDeleteBetty, you continue to amaze me with your Ginny dolls and all the props. I'm in awe of what you do each week and I look forward to new stories and displays.
ReplyDeleteI wish that I lived next door to you so I could visit you and your darling dolls and their rooms.
Loretta
I love your own little world! And unfortunately I understand all to well about the luggage stuff. I'm afraid I wasn't familiar with the blog your mentioned. Great L post. It's fun being in class with you.
ReplyDeleteYou are so inventive with your miniature world...and I always LAUGH. Laugh is an "L" word.
ReplyDeleteThe little boy's name was Alex and he was a red head, just like his parents-to=be. I have been wondering what happened as well.
Betty, you're an absolute riot. I love the "lose" and the "little luggage" and you are so right about the luggage.
ReplyDeleteI think I have seen that "don't like to lose" scenario go down at our house from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about your missing blog, I wish I did.
L is for Love and I love your little stories. And I have a blog on my side bar that just went poof in the last month, I keep checking on her but it takes me nowhere also. I think I will just have to remove it soon.
ReplyDeleteI love these dolls! I think my grandma has some similar ones at her house that I used to play with - Now my girls play with them!
ReplyDeleteYou can always make me smile on Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWow that reminds of my daughters dolls houses they are still at my house but not in use right now loved it when they had them up and runnning .
ReplyDeleteMy first time to your blog,by way of Loretta at House of Houben...I am a huge doll fan and I plan to visit often...your dolls are wonderful and I love how you display them...blessings

What a fun post..
ReplyDeleteNow to Ya Ya. She did get rid of her blog and is no longer blogging. She has some problems with her blog and the adoption stuff so she just got rid of it. She should be getting her little boy at the end of the month if all goes well.. I hope this helps..
Have a great day..
I love how you approached your weekly assignment...so funny:-) Thank you for your visit to my "L" post. As for MrsC...it is I who am the lucky one I would imagine. She is progressing well after this knee surgery...lots of PT...here at home and outpatient...all is well...Peace
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful "L" post.
ReplyDeleteIt made me smile.
The temper tantrum part made me laugh, actually.
I have Yaya's link here.
I'll make a note and see if I can find that for you!
Great L link!
Happy Thursday!
A+
Too cute, once again! I was afraid that cute little puppy was going to lick the ice cream cone! I've not seen the blog you mentioned before, sorry I couldn't help. Hope you find her. Kathy
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time participating in alphabet Thursday! What fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the post you put together about these tiny little people. You are so creative. My students would love to see your dollhouse!!!
That was slap-yo-mama delightful! So cut and clever! I am the new kid in class hopping over from Alphabe-Thursday and am so happy that I did! Please accept my invitation to drop in at my place one day this week when you get a moment. I have become a follower and hope you will do the same. until later...
ReplyDeleteI am always so happy to come across your weekly contributions to our little class!! As usual, this was just precious and clever.
ReplyDeletefun post, sharing ice cream is certainly a sign of love
ReplyDeletethanks for your visit to my alphabe-thursday
Betty I love the "don't like to lose" scene..it made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's friend deleted her blog by mistake the other day --she deleted her Gmail account not realizing it would also delete her blog! She was horrified! Maybe soemthing like that happened to the blog you were reading?
I always have fun when I stop by your Daydream World. Love the little vignettes and stories you create.
ReplyDeleteanother darling story...honestly, it must take you hours to get these together.
ReplyDeleteOh what wonderful scenes! I love Ambers pink luggage, but I gotta say, the scene after the game is my favorite. That was my brother. Then he'd stomp off to his room, after having made it so much harder for "winner cleans up."
ReplyDeleteI like the dolls, but my favorite things are all the accessories...there is sure a lot to look at......
ReplyDeletelove the pink luggage, she's got style :D
ReplyDeleteHeh, I love the sock monkeys in these scenes! My favorite one for sure is the tantrum after losing.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Such cute photos! :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful L post!
ReplyDeleteAirlines start to charge for everything, and pretty soon they will charge for the air we breathe too..
Great L-Words! LOVE the little scenes you created! What fun! I'm just getting around now but want to wish you a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteCoralie
I loved the temper tantrum scene! after raising three children, I recognized it all to well!
ReplyDeleteLovely scenes - totally get the luggage thing - it's getting ridiculous!!
ReplyDeleteStopping by for a peek-a-boo moment tonight. Not sure what happened to the blogger that went up in a POOF! That has happened to me twice before. Somehow you feel like you've lost a good friend and don't know where to find her! Unexplained POOF!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the alphabet postings, you did such a great job, I was in anticipation and on the edge of my seat the whole time...I was not sure where you were going with the story, considering the little bunk beds! Tee hee..smiling from my little world at Once Upon a Fairyland.
